I remember one time I had my daughter on my lap (she was about a year old) and she was playing with an item and reached back suddenly and scratched my eye with it. I had to be seen by an eye doctor, but nothing much they could do except let it heal on its own. It really hurt for about three days

A couple of possible contenders.
I was grinding concrete, using a respirator and safety glasses. A piece of stone pinged off the grinder, bounced off the respirator and under my glasses. That wasn't much fun.
The other contender was when I'd been cutting hot peppers, forgot I hadn't washed my hands and rubbed my eyes. That wasn't much fun either.

I guess I'm a wimp since I think an eyelash is very painful to get caught in my eye.
