Goals for 2018

Do you have any personal goals for 2018? I have four so far:
1. Get my A1C under a 7. (A1C is a diabetic test)
2. Run a 10k in an hour five minutes or better
3. Read through the Bible this year
4. Get involved in a church and find a place to serve.

I did start going to a new church this Sunday and am going back next Sunday. It looks like they have plenty of places to serve.

What about you? Do you have a Bible reading goal? Do you use a systematic reading plan?

2) Practice flute so I can start playing at church
3) Get together with BFF from high school this summer
4) Find good trails for bike riding
5) Do some oil paintings

3 completely inter-related goals...

1) Lead a more focused, purposeful life....
2) Be a good dad and husband to the mother of our child....
3) Spend less energy on stuff that others can do as well if not better....or perhaps doesn't NEED to be done at all.

does your church have a band or orchestra? some of the bigger churches in this area have one. The church I attended Sunday has a praise band

Oh no! I'm glad there is no band or orchestra. We have an organ and sometimes the piano is used when I sing solos. If my voice ever gives out completely it will be nice to be able to serve the church by playing the flute on occasion like during the offering (along with the organ or piano).

I may have been experiencing a rare moment of optimism when I wrote down those goals
