Getting teeth cleaned

Twice a year it's recommended we get our teeth cleaned. Do you go for your regular appointments? Does the hygienist try to talk to you when you have tools in your mouth?

I have a new hygienist from the past three cleanings who doesn't speak at all. I kind of like it because it goes faster.
