I usually can just say Representative at any time to get through to a live person and avoid all the steps. Well, some of the steps.

I usually punch the zero on the keypad until it does something useful.

If a place can't put me through to a human without endlessly trying to figure out what form of words I have to say to the computer that often doesn't understand what I say, that company gets no more business from me than is absolutely necessary.
