Definitely 20th. The 70's and 80's seemed to be quite heavy with it. I recall gaudy furniture, macrame flower pot hangers, fake plants, ugly lamps (standing, hanging, and table), etc. It was also the era of Muzak![]()

Frippery of the 1920's seems to be more associated with dress style of the 'flapper' girl. So... Frippery, junk, rubbish, or flapper???
