There's a podcast series I regularly listen to, Consider Before Consuming, that discusses the harmful effects of pornography using science, facts and ethics....

Anyway, here's an episode from early on in the podcast series where they interview former pornstar Crissy Moran, who went by the stage name Crissy Outlaw...

Consider Before Consuming: CRISSY OUTLAW, ACTIVIST & EX-PORN PERFORMER
Crissy was molested at the age of four, a pattern of abuse that would continue throughout her childhood and teen years. When she became an adult, various decisions and pressures to please the men in her life lead Crissy to start working as a performer in pornography. For seven years, Crissy performed in pornography, enduring more physical and emotional abuse and surviving several suicide attempts. Her ongoing search for love and approval kept her in the porn industry until she was able to break free from the industry and never look back. Now, Crissy has dedicated her life to sharing her story and helping women in different parts of the sex industry break free. Her story has been featured in several news outlets and magazines, including GQ and Playboy. Hear Crissy’s story in her own words as we discuss the experiences that pushed her into the porn industry and, ultimately, caused her to escape it.

Anyway, thoughts on the episode and on the broader issues it touches?

Doubt that you'll get much response from this. Most Christians seem to bury the immensely destructive problem of porn and it's attendant self-pleasuring under a blanket of embarrassment and sense of impropriety, and turn away from this pervasive issue.
But gorging on food at the fellowship hall til you spew (gluttony), well, that's just us Pentecostals being Pentecostals; just don't dare to even say the M word or we'll all cringe away and give you the Evil Eye.
Yes, guys especially, are trapped by this compulsion to whack away at internet porn that now has no boundaries whatsoever in it's high-definition explicit photos and videos of anything you could possibly imagine.
The power it holds over people is staggering, and ignoring it is a disservice to its many victims.

Every single point here is perfectly valid, but I think the OP was talking about the concept that the performers are often every bit as stuck, if not more so, than the consumers.

It's easy to get caught up in the idea that the performers are doing it freely and willingly, and indeed that it's a pretty easy way to make money. And for some I imagine it is an easy way to make money but, as this particular individual highlights, sometimes the performers aren't as eager as it might first appear.

Absolutely agree, tango, naivety and ignorance of the true nature of what the performers are ultimately doing to themselves plays a big part in it as well; they're groomed and coerced by both their handlers and our current society into thinking it's no big deal. Until the emptiness starts catching up with them.
Jesus and the power found only in His Spirit are the only real, viable solution for all involved to overcome and keep ahead of the enemy's pervasive and relentless pressure. Do not underestimate his power; that being said, do not underestimate God's GREATER power.
Not by strength, not by might, but BY MY SPIRIT.

It's a demonic curse overpowering the people that delve into the evil. It becomes a compulsion because they are now being held in bondage.

In the case of anyone you know under the curse pray this simple prayer: Dear Lord, we bind, rebuke and cast out these demons of pornography and we declare this bondage broken in the name of Jesus!
