Not interested in the flu shot. An older relative of mine used to get it but found that every single year he got the shot he got the flu really badly and every year he skipped it he didn't get the flu. After several years with a perfect correlation he stopped getting the shot and hasn't had flu since.

I'm like him in many ways, medically speaking, so I just skip the shot. I know some will say I'm irresponsible but there you go.

I've normally avoided the flu shot because I am allergic to eggs, but I was told two days ago that they have a shot now where it is without eggs, so I wil be getting it a little later this year

Of course I got it.

I have every year for as long as I remember. I've never had the flu.

I have had a flu shot every year since 1992. I have never had the flu in that time period. When it is available here I will get it. I have also heard that it might provide a limited immunity to COVID-19

Yes, I already did. It's not perfect, but there's no obvious downside.

There is certainly no established effect on Covid, but there's some suggestion that it might help. https://elemental.medium.com/could-the-flu-shot-offer-protection-against-covid-19-9b2c4ecf055f I warn, however, that there are lots of studies suggesting lots of things that don't prove out in the end.

Indeed there's some suggestion that a number of different recent vaccines could help slightly with Covid.

I've never gotten a flu shot and had the flu once in 30 years. My husband asked me to get one this year so I will do it for him. I need a tetanus shot too since it's been 10 years...can they be given on the same day or do I need to wait?

Check to see if you actually need a tetanus shot. If I recall last time I was notionally due one they said I'd had a certain number of them over my lifetime and that was enough.

I have had to in the past number of years for my job. Since I am retired, I have decided to not get it this year because I will not be working with ill kiddos. Shall see what happens this year.

It's crazy that when I was a sub and with over 1200 kids each year that I never got the flu! The first couple of years I would catch everything but then my immune system kicked in and I didn't get sick very often after that at all. Let me know how it works out for you this year!

I get the flu shot every year so that if I get the flu, I can get rid of it faster.

I have not had the flu for around 15 years. This pretty much coincides with mainly giving up dairy and the OT forbidden meats. No flu shots in all that time. Since going Vegan the only time I've felt sick is after drinking too much alcohol.

Flu shots are for people who believe God created a yearly virus that changes each year to "make you sick". That's rubbish, imo. People get sick because of what they eat and other stresses they put on the body.
