All of our houses have already been built and we remodeled the basement of the first house and the family room of the 2nd house but really did nothing to this last house since it was newer.

Oh boy...
My first house was ready to move in although over time I did some assorted work to it.
My current house was ready to live in but very dated. Everything from nasty plumbing to knob-and-tube wiring, lath and plaster walls etc. I'm in the process of fixing it up. Hopefully I'll finish before I die.

Our current house was a bit of a fixer upper when we bought it. We painted it (inside and out), put in new flooring throughout, and re-did the kitchen and baths. It's nice now.
It's a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home, about 1600 square feet, on a TINY lot (no front yard, just a patio in back, 10 feet to the next house on the side). Two car garage with full driveway. Nice gated community in good location. Current value (fixed up) is likely in the mid 800,000's.

Our home was built in 2014 and we purchased in 2017. Move in ready. There are a few things we want to change but not in a hurry to make those.
