What is your favorite type of party to attend?

Do you like the wild, loud music people dancing party? The more subdued, small group of friends talking quietly and maybe watching a movie party? The stuffy fancy dress, cocktails, appetizers, etc... ? Or what?

I'm a fairly strong introvert, so I don't really do parties. If I did it would be small with just a few friends

If attending a sporting event is counted as a party, I'm in. If mingling at a company Christmas party is the idea, then I am a fringe participant. Like simms, I recharge in silence. I don't need music playing or a TV screen showing. I'll take a good book, some coffee and a scone.

I like the mediocre ones. Not too loud but people talking at least and a nice dinner to go with the talking.

For me it depends on who is throwing the party. If it's my very best friends then I don't care what they plan as long as I'm with them. Otherwise I don't like big crowded parties that are loud. I would prefer to stand in the corner and rush out the first chance I get to go home

I had an interesting Christmas party at Pizza Hut a few days ago. Fun and games, food, friends and yours truly was providing live music lol I was rusty as I have not performed in a few years so I joked around a lot and made an improv Pizza Hut song using a looper :) had a fee drinks and waited it out before I drove home.
The crowd loved it and had a blast.
Generally I don't care for parties and I almost always turn them down.
I can't stand loud music where you struggle to talk over it, I like sitting around bon fires with friends and telling stories and playing the acoustic for all to sing along to.
Family gatherings are considered parties to me because we all joke around and have a few drinks, I like being outside so we usually hang out around the man cave and bbq, the game is usually on in the cave with the doors open.

I don't go to parties much as I'm kinda shy. I like small ones with people I know.

So I learned that I can't do the "wild, loud music, dancing party" at my Nephew's wedding reception. Yikes! I'm getting old.
Maybe going out with a (small) group of friends to hang out for a bit - a quiet evening or afternoon. I've been getting tired now at about 9:00 or so anyway.

Seriously, what is happening to me???!!!
