What is your favorite hobby?
Do you collect anything?

Different times in my life I have collected stamps and magnets of places I have visited and sometimes shells going to the beach.

I like to read a lot of mystery novels and exercise. I mainly do a lot of walking around the neighborhood. I like to walk in the morning and see all the rabbits in our neighborhood.

Oh I would love to see some of your knitting projects. I love to knit too! I mostly do things that are quickly worked like hats. Last year everyone in the family got a hat. I still need to finish mine.

Do you use double sided needles for knitting in the round?

I do crocheting too but I don't like the way it looks. To me, it looks cheaper. Knitting is more high end :D

I'd love to see pics of your work :) I haven't done a sweater before but I did a tank top for my daughter. She wore it once because it showed her belly and she is modest.

I consider a hobby something I don't do every day, but enjoy doing somewhat often or frequently. If I do it everyday (like playing or writing music), it's not a hobby.

Hobbies include:

Doing artwork and animated artwork.
Growing plants either outside or in terrariums.
-Extracting active ingredients from plants. For example, I have a tincture of passionflower in my cupboard.
Collections: All kinds of things -but mostly - information, or specialized information of sorts.
Cooking and simple living.
Futures trading - I hardly do this anymore due to, well, being cash poor atm.
Making Alcohol
Solving complex puzzles. Internet people sometimes fall into this category. *smile* @ mystery chick and her sister who is (really, I say, with full confidence and big laughing smile) really from Texas ;) lol.

What kind of artwork? I like to draw, but don't do it much anymore.

Often things that are representative (partially or wholly) and/or abstract.

For example, I once made a picture using a lot of symbolism and carefully placed images to reveal something that could easily be identified in just a few words using simple English. The intent of the picture was to subliminally connect with the only person to whom it was intimately related - no one else would likely understand what they were seeing except this one person.

Not all the art I do falls into intent in this sense though. Some of it is just playing with ideas and being creative.

My hobbies are usually nutritionally related, cooking or reading up on recipes. I just got a book on flavor profiles that's quite interesting.

What's a flavor profile?
Usually they are the specific culinary herbs and spices used by different cultures. The book has an alphabetical list of flavor affinities for every food imaginable with different degrees of what goes with it. Some listed BOLD, then Bold to indicate best flavor combinations.
