Do you believe that Faith is a better method for determining truth than the scientific method? If so, why?

If it's to determine whether God exists or not, then yes, faith is the better method.

IS Faith essentially a matter of problem-solving? A way to resolve questions we may have about the world around us? IMO, there's something missing if we stop there. In our religion the importance of Faith is life changing. It means trust, all right, but Christian Faith restores a bond between God and Man which transcends our own abilities and makes salvation possible.

As has been noted before, there is ordinary faith, usually uncapitalized, and then there is also Faith, usually capitalized in order to indicate that it's not just more of what everyday faith is and does.

The "Scientific Method" does involve faith. LOTS of it. It presumes MUCH and relies on MUCH.

Depends on whose faith is being exercised. The Muslims faith, or the Hindu's faith, or the Buddhist's faith will not lead to truth.

Science's faith can only lead to some truth about the physical universe, not about God. And along the way they must always be changing their mind as they learn other things. And, they definitely 'assume' much which can't be proven by them.

Just because one exercises faith, doesn't mean what he believes is true. It is true or not...period. One's faith doesn't make it true.

The Christian's faith is the better and only method in determining truth. Because Truth is a Person, Jesus Christ. (John 14:6) (John 18:37) And the Christian places faith in the Person of Jesus Christ. In the Truth.

For me, faith is the bridge that connects me with the eternal God. Since the eternal has always been, and will always be, and our present realm will pass away, I've chosen to trust in that which faith has revealed to me. An important thing I've learned is that everything revealed to me by faith is reflected and confirmed in the written word. Therefore, anything that contradicts the written word is not truth.
Science can be useful when it comes to dealing with the material world, but for eternal and spiritual matters, not so much. I'll believe what the word says every time. Since my understanding of the word needs adjustment from time to time, I trust the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth.
"6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." - Hebrews 11:6
"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13 So true.
