I started a new group two weeks ago to discuss the book "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. I would be glad to have some of you attend also. It is on zoom. If you want to be a part please let me know and I will message you the link to the group. We meet on Sundays at 9 am U.S. eastern time. The seven realities of experiencing God is really what the book centers on. I love how Blackaby emphasizes also that God is interested in having a personal and loving relationship with each one of us. Just as it says in John 15:1-5 and other places I can do nothing if I am not abiding in Him

Seven Realities of Experiencing God

1. God is always at work around you.

2. God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.

3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.

4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.

5. God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.

6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.

7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His work through you.

How is the group doing? I don't think very well on the spot to ever take part in things like that :(

We have had two sessions so far. I was only planning on four sessions. We have had about 6-7 people at each group.

That's a good size group. I bet people are eager to get together with others like that in doing a study :)

Video conferencing has gotten old really fast for me. two months ago I didn't know what zoom was. Now, I'm actually quite sick of it and ready to see people in person when it is safe to do so. Our agency is going to offer us some guidelines on Monday about whether or not we are going back to doing face to face visits and safety protocol.

My husband's family does weekly Zoom and we're excited to see each other at first but unless there's something to talk about it's somewhat awkward.

Do you have to try to encourage your zoom attendees to talk or are they opening up more as time goes by?

the group has so far done a good job of opening up. I just try to make sure everyone has a chance to talk
