This sounds exciting and even though I won't see the full eclipse, all of North America will be seeing a partial eclipse if everyone hasn't traveled to that strip of full eclipse exclusivity. I might be standing outside all by myself.

If you could travel to see the eclipse, what area would you go to?

The eclipses are often brought up by globe believers as a trump card to flat earth. (In saying this, I speak generally and do not mean to implicate the OP or her motives). Regardless, flat earther's are looked down on by some pretty haughty and proud globe heads because...

THEY HAVE THE ANSWER! While most flatearther's (including this one) will say we do not know the exact mechanics of them, but they are predictable because they follow regular patterns.

But do the globe believers have the right answer? Actually - they don't. Just holding contradictory ideas in their heads and patting each other on the back for thinking they are smarter than a flat earther:

and just got pwned. Again.

And the pwning continues in part2:

Erm... Why does the model in the second video have the light source smaller than the object casting the shadow (3:15 and repeated)? Also, the model shows the light source, object, and reflecting 'screen' at equal distances. If the guy is going to 'debunk' something, debunk it correctly.

The image shown there is probably not the best, but the argument he is illustrating with it is debunked satisfactorily, at least to me. I just used an object (a ball of string), a plate, and a light source (the sun from my kitchen window - which is many many times larger than the ball of string) and showed the same thing the diagram shows. The shadow from the ball of string is very close to the size of the actual ball of string when it is close to the plate. As I move it further away - it grows in size and becomes less defined. At no time is the shadow of the ball of string smaller than the ball of string itself.

I'm kinda surprised I don't hear people claiming that it is a sign that the end of the world is here. Maybe that will be next week

You called it! :D

“Now this August 21, 2017, we have a total solar eclipse going over the United States. This is again at the beginning of the month of repentance on the first of Elul! Could God be giving us warning that we need to repent or judgment will be coming on the United States? The timing couldn't be clearer,” Blitz elaborated.

Apparently that really is a part of the Jewish calendar. Though my Bible reads that we should stay ready regardless of the signs or seasons

It is very dangerous to look directly at the sun and viewing an eclipse means needing protection for your eyes.

My daughter has a welders mask but I think the shade is only a 10 and it is recommended that at least a 12 is needed and 14 preferred to protect the eyes. I don't plan on STARING at it for long though so maybe a 10 will work just to take a quick glance?
