Droid or iPhone?

Do you prefer an Android over an iPhone or the other way around?

My husband has an iPhone and I HATE talking to him over the phone because it's all garbled. I thought it was the way he was holding the phone until another friend of us called and it was the same thing...garbled.

I'm thinking of getting a droid in August.

My wife and I have had iPhones for years. We've never had garbling issues.

I'm not a big Android fan. I have a tablet that is an Android. Not impressed but that's me. I know some folks love them.

I really like the iPhones I've had and have never been compelled to switch.

Could it be the version of phone that my husband and our friend have that makes the difference in sound quality on a call?

What turns you off about the droids?

It just doesn't seem to be as smooth. I can't really put my finger on it.

Are there better apps for iPhone over the droid or about the same?

Mostly the same. In general, apps get released on iPhones first. But the droid follows closely.

I know both have issues in regards to failure (software, battery, phones themselves) but I don't know the percentages of each. Do you?

No. The iPhone 4S's we bought three or more years ago are still working. We gave them to the boys when we got the new ones. I have the 6 and my wife has the 6plus.

I did replace the battery on my 4S, but as you know, I use it for EVERYTHING!!!

Bill, which phone model do you have? I'm looking at a cheap Samsung right now.

I have an LG G3 that I got through tracfone and it works well for what I use it for which is nmainly phone calls. I dont text and I very rarely use it on the internet. For me the tracfone is the cheap way for me to go and it fulfills what I need

I prefer iPhone any day of the week over Android. It's more secure, has better features, and the operating system feels nicer and is easier to use. The general trend is that phones are getting bigger, but there must be a limit on how big they can be; otherwise there not fit for purpose!
