Well, to be fair, the law will be this:
felony offense for anyone engaging in an "adult cabaret performance" on public property or in any location where the performance "could be viewed by a person who is not an adult."

I think a lot depends on how "drag show" is defined.

I remember as a small child I'd often go to theatrical performances that were some kind of enactment of a children's fairy tale. Often the "leading ladies" were men dressed up. It was funny - you might have a well known boxer in a fairy's dress or some such. It was family friendly entertainment with no sexual connotations at all, they had just cast famous people in what some would say were the least suitable roles.

It's reasonable to avoid sexual performances in front of children but if things like the fairy tales I described here were caught in the - ahem - dragnet of seeking to prohibit such performances it would seem like an overreaction.

Terms like "adult cabaret performance" make a lot more sense - whether that's a sexual drag display or sexual non-drag display makes little difference.
