Loving our neighbor means that we must defend ourselves when our neighbor attacks. Such justified self-defense happened when the United States was attacked in WWII. Our love for ourselves as required in the second commandment allows for self-defense, Holy999. Jesus says,
Mar 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
Mar 12:31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
