God gives people gifts, and we don't all have the same ones. Does Satan give gifts too (not that I'd one any from him)?

Gifts from Satan are not 'gifts' and they come at a high price.

As Frank said the use of the term "gift" here is maybe a little inappropriate given the strings that are attached.

That aside, yes, there are definitely supernatural powers that can be tapped if someone is willing to pay the price. It's just that the price isn't listed upfront and everything is often packaged as if it's just tuning in to something perfectly natural.

Yes, but all of those things are presented with much prettier wrappers. If they weren't people wouldn't go for them.

I had a former satanist in one of the churches I'd attended a few decades back. He said there was a evil spiritual gifts analogy to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I can't remember anything from the list, except hypnotism was one of those gifts.

That doesn't surprise me, because Satan mimics and corrupts anything he has seen God do.

That's interesting. I was warned by someone about hypnotism, but didn't affiliate it with Satan's gift, but it makes sense if you're leaving your mind open to suggestion.

The Non-Stop Organized Plan of Attack
Very Organized

The demons, devils, and evil spirits are much more organized than most people even suspect. There's a conniving plan to attack and defeat your soul as we speak. And they're not going to stop the deception or the attacks at any time.

The Enemy’s Greatest Weapons
Spiritual blindness is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons. Many believers live unaware that they’re in a war zone, not a playground. The Bible doesn’t just mention demons—it describes a structured hierarchy of evil, operating with precision, deception, and territorial influence. And unless we walk in discernment and authority, we risk being manipulated, oppressed, or distracted without even realizing it.
Paul makes it plain in Ephesians 6:12:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
That’s not poetic language—it’s a military breakdown. Principalities are regional commanders. Powers enforce influence. Rulers of darkness control systems. Spiritual wickedness infiltrates high places—governments, media, even churches. This isn’t random chaos. It’s organized rebellion against the kingdom of God.

The Signs of Spiritual Attack
And yet, many believers don’t recognize the signs of spiritual attack: confusion, delay, division, emotional heaviness, temptation, or even chronic distraction. They chalk it up to stress, personality, or circumstance. But Elisha saw what others couldn’t—chariots of fire surrounding him, even when the enemy had encircled the city. That’s the difference between being spiritually blind and spiritually armed.
The good news? We’re not called to fear—we’re called to fight from victory. Jesus didn’t just cast out demons—He gave us authority to do the same. But authority only works when we recognize the battle. That’s why deep intercession, spiritual discernment, and calling on the name of Jesus are essential. They don’t just protect us—they expose the enemy’s schemes and activate heaven’s response.

Let’s frame this as a spiritual battle plan—a full campaign strategy against unseen forces, modeled in military terms but grounded in Scripture. This way, you can teach believers how to recognize, resist, and advance against organized spiritual opposition.

🛡️ Spiritual Battle Plan: Marching Orders for Today
1. Intelligence Forces (Discernment & Watchmen)

Role: Spiritual reconnaissance—detecting enemy movements before they strike.
Tools: Prayer, fasting, prophetic insight, Scripture meditation.
Scripture: “Watch and pray…” (Matthew 26:41).
Application: Train believers to recognize patterns of attack—confusion, division, distraction, temptation.

2. Recon Procedures (Testing & Surveillance)
Role: Probe the battlefield—test spirits, evaluate teachings, expose lies.
Tools: 1 John 4:1 (“Test the spirits”), accountability groups, spiritual mapping.
Application: Recon is about exposing deception before it infiltrates the camp.

3. Cavalry (Intercessors & Worshippers)
Role: Fast-moving, high-impact units—breaking strongholds through worship and intercession.
Tools: Praise, prophetic declarations, corporate prayer.
Scripture: “The high praises of God… and a two-edged sword in their hand.” (Psalm 149:6).
Application: Cavalry charges when momentum is needed—revival meetings, crisis intervention, breakthrough prayer.

4. Ground Troops (Daily Discipleship & Evangelism)
Role: Hold territory, advance steadily, occupy ground through consistent obedience.
Tools: Bible study, evangelism, acts of service, discipleship.
Scripture: “Go therefore and make disciples…” (Matthew 28:19).
Application: Ground troops secure the gains—teaching, mentoring, living faithfully in workplaces and families.

5. Aggressive Postures (Offensive Strategies)
Strike with Truth: Counter lies with Scripture (Matthew 4:1–11).
Advance with Prayer: Push into enemy territory through intercession.
Deploy Evangelism: Offensive firepower—light in dark places.
Application: Offensive posture means taking ground, not just defending it.

6. Defensive Formations (Armor of God)
Shield Wall: Faith blocks fiery darts (Ephesians 6:16).
Helmet Line: Salvation guards the mind (Ephesians 6:17).
Breastplate Guard: Righteousness protects the heart (Ephesians 6:14).
Application: Defensive formation = unity. Believers stand shoulder-to-shoulder, covering each other.

7. Timing: Attack, Retreat, Training
Attack: When deception rises, when oppression intensifies, when God gives prophetic green light.
Retreat: Not surrender—strategic withdrawal to regroup, fast, and seek fresh orders.
Training: Daily drills—Scripture memorization, prayer rhythms, worship discipline.
Alignment Posture: Stay under authority—Christ as Commander, leaders as captains, believers as soldiers.

⚔️ Summary: The Campaign
Intelligence detects.
• Recon exposes.
• Cavalry breaks.
• Ground troops hold.
• Offense advances.
• Defense protects.
• Training prepares.
• Alignment ensures victory.

This isn’t metaphorical fluff—it’s a battle doctrine for spiritual warfare, teaching believers to fight with awareness, unity, and authority in Christ.

⚔️ Spiritual Force Structure

🚛 Mechanized Units (Rapid Deployment Ministries)

Analogy: Tanks and armored vehicles break through resistance quickly.
Spiritual Equivalent: Evangelism teams, mobile ministries, digital outreach.
Purpose: Push into new territory fast, break through cultural resistance, establish a foothold.
Scripture: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel…” (Mark 16:15).

🎇 Artillery (Prophetic & Apostolic Declarations)

Analogy: Heavy fire softens enemy positions before ground troops move in.
Spiritual Equivalent: Prophetic words, apostolic decrees, intercessory bombardment.
Purpose: Break strongholds, dismantle lies, prepare hearts for the gospel.
Scripture: “Is not my word like fire, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29).

✈️ Airborne Units (Worship & Prayer Cover)

Analogy: Paratroopers drop behind enemy lines, securing strategic points.
Spiritual Equivalent: Worship leaders, prayer warriors, intercessors.
Purpose: Shift atmospheres, establish spiritual dominance, cut off enemy supply lines.
Scripture: “The high praises of God be in their mouth…” (Psalm 149:6).

🥷 Special Forces (Deliverance & Healing Ministries)

Analogy: Elite units handle precision strikes and rescue missions.
Spiritual Equivalent: Deliverance ministers, healing evangelists, crisis responders.
Purpose: Targeted liberation—casting out demons, healing the sick, rescuing captives.
Scripture: “These signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17).

🛡️ Strategic Postures
Attack: When deception rises, when oppression intensifies, when God gives prophetic green light.
Retreat: Strategic withdrawal for regrouping, fasting, and fresh orders—not surrender.
Training: Daily drills—Scripture memorization, prayer rhythms, worship discipline.
Alignment: Christ as Commander, leaders as captains, believers as soldiers.

🔥 Summary
Mechanized units = rapid evangelism.
Artillery = prophetic declarations.
Airborne units = worship and intercession.
Special forces = deliverance and healing.

Together, they form a multi-dimensional army that advances, defends, liberates, and occupies spiritual territory.

This is the language of spiritual readiness. Just as a soldier maintains his weapons, believers must hone their armament and master their spiritual arsenal. Let’s break this into a full battle-preparedness doctrine:

⚔️ Honing Our Armament
1. Weapon Maintenance (Prayer & Word Immersion)

Prayer = oil and lubrication. It keeps the Spirit’s flow unhindered.
Scripture = sharpening the blade. Daily study ensures precision strikes against lies.
“The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” —Ephesians 6:17

2. Aligning Sights (Discernment & Focus)

• Spiritual sights must be calibrated—discernment ensures we’re aiming at the true enemy, not flesh and blood.
• Focus comes from fasting, silence, and listening to the Spirit.
“Be sober, be vigilant…” —1 Peter 5:8

3. Target Practice (Application & Training)

• Practice wielding weapons in controlled environments: small group prayer, personal worship, Scripture declaration.
• This builds muscle memory so that in battle, response is instinctive.
“Exercise yourself unto godliness.” —1 Timothy 4:7

4. Attack Alignment (Unity & Timing)

• Troops must move in formation. Unity ensures no friendly fire.
• Timing comes from prophetic alignment—waiting for God’s command before charging.
“They were all with one accord in one place.” —Acts 2:1

5. Highest Readiness (Holiness & Watchfulness)

• Holiness keeps armor polished; watchfulness keeps the camp alert.
• Readiness means living as if the trumpet could sound at any moment.
“Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments.” —Revelation 16:15

🔥 Mastery of Spiritual Weaponry

Sword of the Spirit → precision strikes of truth.
Shield of Faith → deflects fiery darts.
Helmet of Salvation → guards the mind.
Breastplate of Righteousness → protects the heart.
Prayer & Praise → artillery bombardment and airborne cover.
Mastery means not just knowing these weapons exist, but training daily until they are second nature. A soldier doesn’t fumble with his rifle in battle; likewise, a believer must wield Scripture, prayer, and authority with confidence and speed.

⚔️ The Arsenal of Spiritual Weapons
🗡️ Sword of the Spirit

Nature: The Word of God, living and active.
Scripture: “The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” —Ephesians 6:17
Function: Offensive precision strike—cuts through lies, deception, and spiritual darkness.
Application: Declare Scripture aloud; wield truth against temptation and falsehood.

🛡️ Shield of Faith
Nature: Trust in God’s promises.
Scripture: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” —Ephesians 6:16
Function: Defensive barrier—extinguishes attacks of doubt, fear, and accusation.
Application: Raise faith in prayer and confession; block enemy assaults with confidence in God.

🪖 Helmet of Salvation
Nature: Assurance of redemption.
Scripture: “Take the helmet of salvation…” —Ephesians 6:17
Function: Protects the mind—guards against despair, confusion, and false identity.
Application: Renew your mind daily in Christ; remember you are saved, sealed, and secure.

🦺 Breastplate of Righteousness
Nature: Holiness and integrity.
Scripture: “Having put on the breastplate of righteousness.” —Ephesians 6:14
Function: Protects the heart—keeps motives pure, shields against condemnation.
Application: Walk uprightly; righteousness is both imputed (Christ’s gift) and practiced (daily obedience).

👢 Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Nature: Readiness to move with the gospel.
Scripture: “Having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” —Ephesians 6:15
Function: Mobility—carries the message into enemy territory, stabilizes footing in battle.
Application: Be ready to share Christ anywhere; peace steadies your steps.

🙌 Prayer & Intercession
Nature: Constant communication with the Commander.
Scripture: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” —Ephesians 6:18
Function: Artillery bombardment—weakens enemy strongholds, calls down heavenly reinforcements.
Application: Pray in the Spirit, intercede for others, maintain unbroken fellowship.

🎶 Praise & Worship
Nature: Atmosphere-shifting weapon.
Scripture: “The high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.” —Psalm 149:6
Function: Air superiority—disorients the enemy, enthrones God in the battle.
Application: Worship in crisis; praise breaks chains and shifts environments.

🧥 Cloak of Humility
Nature: Hidden strength through submission.
Scripture: “Clothe yourselves with humility…” —1 Peter 5:5
Function: Defensive invisibility—disarms pride, draws grace, blinds the enemy’s schemes.
Application: Serve others, stay teachable, exalt Christ above self.

🔥 Cloak of Vengeance of the Lord
Nature: God’s justice against oppression.
Scripture: “He put on garments of vengeance for clothing…” —Isaiah 59:17
Function: Offensive strike—God Himself rises to dismantle demonic strongholds.
Application: Invoke in intercession against injustice; trust God’s timing for vindication.

🛡️ Summary
Defensive: Shield, helmet, breastplate, humility.
Offensive: Sword, prayer, worship, vengeance.
Mobilizing: Shoes, intercession, readiness.
Together, these weapons form a complete armory, ensuring believers are not only protected but empowered to advance with precision and mastery.

Defeat: Fearfulness flees when peace rules (Philippians 4:6–7). Alignment = pray with thanksgiving, guard the mind.

🛡️ Battlefield Alignment
Precision Defense: Match the weapon to the attack (truth vs. lies, faith vs. fear, worship vs. sorrow).
Formation: Stand shoulder-to-shoulder—unity multiplies defense.
Posture: Offensive when lies rise, defensive when accusations fly, airborne when heaviness descends.
