What is your definition of a mega church? The biggest church in our area has about 500-600 in attendance for worship in one of their worship services and they have two different services. While that pastor is a great speaker, I felt lost attending that church it was so big.

The largest congregation I've attended averaged a 1000 people weekly. It was a Full Gospel church with two cameras panning the congregation and showing it on a big screen.

I visited a mega church once (not during a service, a friend of mine was a regular there and showed me around). It felt more like a conference center than a church. The pastoral care was truly dismal - my friend seemed to be endlessly doing things for other people but as soon as he needed something you'd think he'd vanished off the face of the earth.
