I'll be going to a party where I have to meet new people. I'm not too fond of those types of situations and avoid them when I can, but this one means a lot so I'm psyching myself up to go.

these days ... yes :) my introvert days have taken a Back seat .. at last haha - the lord has made me not so self centered (that might ouch some people sorry -but in my life a lot of my introvert type nature was rooted in self centeredness and self awareness ,ie - caring way to much what others thought of ME ME ME .. these days i just speak up and look to others as to how i can be life and truth toward them rather than waiting for others to be life and truth to me . )

No, not really. I an very much an introvert and parties and things aren't really fun for me most of the time. I would prefer a small group of people I already know

Yes why not? I meet new people all the time on internet. I figured if I can just talk to people on internet ehm why not do the same irl?
So nowadays I talk people's ears from their head with random nonsense whether they like it or not haha.
I'm on Facebook and had this group of people I didn't know. Now I met them in a Bible course. First time I sat a bit shy in a corner talking to one or two, then he preached about baptism in the Spirit and prayed for me. Since then the shyness is gone. It's really nice. I like it.
