Yes. My Dad was in the United States Air Force and he taught me the proper way to fold it.

I genuinely have no idea why there's concern about "the proper way" to fold a flag. It's a piece of cloth.

I know a lot of folks in the US don't understand my view, for what it's worth.

It's about respect. People died for that flag to keep flying so respecting the flag is respect for the blood shed for us to be free.

Did they die for the piece of cloth? My grandfather fought in WWII but nobody ever said he fought for the flag, he fought to defeat Hitler's empire.
