What is the reason for compression? Have you tried to zip it?

It's not necessarily possible to compress a file that far.

Is this for storage space reasons or file transfer reasons?

From the file sizes my guess would be some variation of trying to fit a DVD onto a CD.

If the file is such that it can't be compressed that far the options are to either use a DVD or a USB stick (8GB USB sticks are practically given away in cereal boxes these days) or see if the ancient option with ZIP-type utilities to split something across multiple disks is still out there and use however many CDs it takes.

"A spiritual file" doesn't really say anything useful. The chances of being able to compress a 5GB file to fit on a CD are pretty slim. Chances are you'll need to either use multiple CDs or some other media.

If it's an audio file you might be able to resample it to make it smaller. You'll lose some sound quality but depending on what it is that might not matter. Likewise if it's video you can downsample it if you don't need high quality. You might need to seriously degrade the quality of it to shrink it by such a large amount, but if it's just someone speaking you really don't need hi definition audio or video. If it's someone speaking with nothing else you can probably lose the video completely and just use lower grade audio if fitting on a CD is your primary driver.
