Do politicians deserve privacy?

There is some drama happening in my town and of course it's all political and someone is bringing up the past of the politician's husband that was from 20 years ago. This made me wonder if people don't think politicians deserve any privacy?

A lot of politics has more to do with how you look rather then how you actually are. It is also guided a lot by emotions which are used to steer voters to or away from a person or position. They probably don't believe they deserve any privacy but if the tables were turned then they would be up in arms about it if they were not given the privacy that they don't think politicians should ever have. I would say while I am not certain if they deserve privacy but I can be certain that they shouldn't expect any in today's world where everyone has a camera and information both true and false can be quickly shared before the other side even gets a chance at a rebuttal to any of it.
