Do Not Call

One of my pet peeves is beggars calling my phone begging for money. Even though I have signed up for the do not call registry, I still get beggars calling. Do you ever have this problem?

I very rarely get solicitation calls on my cell phone. We no longer have a landline phone but my husband's cell gets tons of telemarketing calls. He has put his cell number on a great deal more paperwork than I have. I do not give my number out very often so of course no one calls me LOL

I don't give my number out, but sometimes my children do,even though I tell them not to.I have a land line because I don't like cell phones.

I've never received a begging call on my mobile phone. Land line is a different matter but with land line I call screen so the begging and selling calls do not get an answer.

oh thats it i only have a mobile phone from my work, they bothered me though but not anymore since I went to the call me not register.
If they call I'm quick to say not interested. I used to hang on the line with them for hours.

I get them on one of my free cell phones. I hardly use it, though, so I just delete them when I check it once in awhile.

We used to get loads of people calling saying they was doing a survey on something got so annoying in the end, So I even swore at a few to leave us along in the end. they didnt like that but it worked for a while. Then I just got onto my telephone company and they added us to there nuisance call list, for my mobile I just block them ..they cant get through then..lol

I liked the old fashioned phones back then if they were annoying I would just say here let me let you talk to mr tone, dial tone and slam the reciever down.

Well in your case it has to ring first but you always have it on silent so that doesn't help eh..

Very very rarely.

I don't mind calls from groups in my locale that ask for donations who actually provide a public service.

But the only solicitation calls I get are usually surveys - so I ask their name, what company they represent, contact details etc. Then I ask how they got my number. I have a silent home number that isn't listed anywhere, and it has been silent for more than a decade. If the survey interests me, I'll tell them first I'll answer questions but I specifically tell them they may not call me again, they may not pass the phone number on to 3rd parties. The last solicitation call I got was quite a few years back. If my number ever starts getting mass soliciting calls - then I will have it changed and get a new silent number.

I do this sometimes, except I don't usually block numbers. Maybe I need to start blocking.

I just bark and then they leave me alone. Lol one guy was so persistant to sell me green energy. I said no. He didnt take no for an answer. Then I sent an email in CAPSLOCK:
DONT BOTHER ME ANYMORE!!!! I DONT WANT YOUR ENERGY!!!!!

Then they give me a weird look lol.
Years ago a group of people, oh no, they stand before the stairs at the station so you have to pass them. Go away! I didnt look at them and walked straight through. Annoying people.
