Why is there so much divorce in America and also among Christians? I figure, in the 2nd part, it's because Christians aren't really walking the walk enough.

Churches that teach the truth on divorce and remarriage being adultery have zero or very little of it.

Secular values have steadily gained ground in America. That applies to divorce just as well as it does to abortion, drug use, disrespect for law and order, intemperate speech, dirty politics, and more in that vein.

The more that traditional values are 'dissed'--and that trend be enshrined in law as well--American Christians are swept along with it more often than should be the case.

Still in all, where does the still-existing opposition to immorality come from if not from the Christian community? It doesn't come from the news media. It doesn't come from Hollywood. It doesn't come from the Universities. It doesn't come from Congress. No, it comes from the Christian churches and organizations, and they've paid a high price for holding the line to the extent that they have been able.

Many have put up a good fight in the church. Nonetheless, the divorce rate of the church mirrors the non-believing world.

"Mirrors?" I think that needs a more precise term or explanation if we are to appreciate what your thinking on this matter actually is.

If you mean that Christians get as many divorces per capita as non-religious persons, I doubt that very much. And, as I was saying before, the Christian churches are opposed to unnecessary divorce whereas there doesn't seem to be any secular force that even cares, let alone tries to do much of anything about it,

They definitely don't care. I can see that from my own family's views.

So.....your own family and the whole of the Christian population of the USA are one and the same?

No. Of course, that cannot be argued.

That said, I appreciate one element of the point you are trying to make--that the church and its people ought to show a higher commitment to a moral principle than society in general. But you haven't shown that they don't (your own family excepted, of course). Plus, if we also ask who, if anyone, still advocates for traditional or Judeo-Christian values, it's the churches! It seems that a balanced approach to the finger-pointing would be in order with this topic.
