If you have a deck, you've probably looked into different ways to clean it. When we had a wood deck, we used harsh chemicals at first and because it was a screened in porch, it was suffocating!! We switched to Oxi Clean and it did a great job.

We have a composite deck where we live now and we started off using Oxi Clean, but in 5 months the deck showed signs of green again. So I switched to a mix of Jomax and outdoor bleach. It worked! But then we saw that there were some black spots in one section of the deck where it got the most traffic. Today I discovered that on those spots, simple baking soda with warm water and a hard scrub brush got it off...immediately! Yay!!

The sell a wand that you screw on your hose and it makes it a pressure washer! Works good. It used to 8 bucks but might be 20 by now.

We have a pressure washer, but my husband doesn't want me to use it. He noticed that other people who use pressure washers on composite decks end up with fuzzy decks.
