How do you reheat day-old mashed potatoes?

From frozen, or refrigerated?

I don't often make mashed potatoes, but I have taken to making large batches of a hash brown / vegetable mixture. I put portions into freezer bags and keep frozen. Since I eat them nearly every day, the night before I'll set a bag in the fridge. Come morning, it's semi defrosted,
easy to break apart and re-heat on the stove top covered under low heat.

We microwave them and sometimes add a little more milk for creaminess.
