I Chron. 27:25-27, 31

Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Pet. 3:8, 9

MORNING

Be not far from me; for trouble is near. Psa. 22:11

Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. I Chron. 16:29

I saw ... the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone. Isa. 6:1-3, 5

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. II Cor. 5:19

It pleased the Father, that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself. Col. 1:19, 20

EVENING

Thy kingdom come. Matt. 6:10

In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Dan. 2:44

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20, 21

Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. Mark 4:11, 26, 27, 29

Be ye ... ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh. Matt. 24:44

MORNING

From the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard. Dan. 10:12

Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isa. 57:15

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Psa. 51:17

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Psa. 138:6

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I Pet. 5:6

God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. James 4:6, 7

Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Psa. 86:5-7

EVENING

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matt. 6:10

This is the will of God, even your sanctification. I Thess. 4:3

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. I Pet. 4:2

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth: wherefore lay apart all filthiness. James 1:18, 21

Be ye holy; for I am holy. I Pet. 1:16

[Jesus] said, Whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:34, 35

Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock. Matt. 7:24, 25

The world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. I John 2:17

MORNING

Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. Rom. 14:9

It pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isa. 53:10, 11

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luke 24:26

We thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. II Cor. 5:14, 15

Let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God. I Pet. 1:20, 21

EVENING

Give us this day our daily bread. Matt. 6:11

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psa. 37:25

His bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Isa. 33:16

The ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. I Kings 17:6

My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19

Be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Heb. 13:5

He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna.... that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deut. 8:3

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. John 6:32-34

MORNING

God is my defence. Psa. 59:9

The LORD is my rock, and My fortress, and my deliverer; the God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour. II Sam. 22:2, 3

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psa. 28:7

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isa. 59:19

We may boldly say, The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Heb. 13:6

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psa. 27:1

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. Psa. 125:2

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Psa. 63:7

For thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. Psa. 31:3

EVENING

Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matt. 6:12

Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matt. 18:21, 22

O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Matt. 18:32-35

Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Eph. 4:32

You.... hath he quickened, . I . having forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Col. 2:13, 14

Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Col. 3:13

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. Rom. 12:11

Whatsoever thy band findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. Ecc. 9:10

Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Col. 3:23, 2

Whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord. Eph. 6:8

Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shalt never fall. II Pet. 1:10

We desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end; that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Heb. 6:11, 12

So run, that ye may obtain. I Cor. 9:24

EVENING

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matt. 6:13

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Prov. 28:26

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1:13, 14

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. II Cor. 6:17

Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where.... even as the garden of the LORD. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; but the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. Gen. 13:10, 11, 13

[The Lord] delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked. The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations. II Pet. 2:7, 9

Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Rom. 14:4
