A church organization is not an ancestor. But if it has the innocent blood of Christians in its past, wouldn't that incriminate all who belong to it?

Not at all. You see, Lutherans hold to the Lutheran Confessions because they believe that it is a true exposition of what the bible teaches. Nowhere does it say to kill anyone.

Historically both Luther and Melanchthon have significant issues concerning the Anabaptists. Read from a neutral source if you care.

And Lutherans don't "follow" either of those. We hold to the Lutheran Confessions.

“Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill, and devote them to destruction, declares the Lord, and do all that I have commanded you. The noise of battle is in the land, and great destruction!

I am not responsible for those killings either even though HE is my God who ordered it.
