I think that if cannabis can be used for pain instead of opioids, that is a good thing. In my country, cannabis is legal. Since it became so, opioid overdose deaths have declined substantially.
Well, the opposite has happened in this country, so there must be other factors at work.

Possibly the availability, or cost, or something else, because there's no way that an intoxicant or hallucinogen is going to be just plain disinteresting to a lot of people, whether or not it's good for them.

Due to the availability of cannabis, less people use opioids for pain, thus less overdose deaths. The way people with chronic pain are treated in our society is scandalous! "and unconcerned for the poor and needy!" Not all, but far too many. My government's strategy is to kill off these "useless eaters." Considering their involvement with Klaus Schwab and Yuval Harari, it's not surprising.

That's probably correct to say, but only with reference to people who take it for medicinal purposes.

These people represent only a small percentage of MJ users in states where it's legalized as a recreational drug.

For recreation? I'm not really for it because I have friends who have been enjoying pot for most of their lives. What I've seen is that their reaction time is like that of some 90 year olds and their memory is about the same of that too.
Yeah, the media downplays the opposite view, for sure.

How liberals lower the crime rate: Eliminate laws.

Works. Sort of. Just doesn't make things better; it makes things worse.

I'm a layed back individual, not so hot with adulting, but even considering that, I think pot is something I don't need in my life or of that of my family.

Something that is legal doesn't have to be mandatory.

It's legal to smoke cigarettes but many people make the decision not to.

"Completely legalizing" probably needs to be defined. Does it put Cannabis on the same legal level as other common plants (like lettuce or tomatoes, for example), or are there restrictions?

Cannabis can grow just about anywhere - one could easily argue that it's adaptability to multiple different climates helps to give credence to the view that it's one of many plants that is meant to help many people from different areas of the world, especially if one factors in it's many uses.

Indeed there are countries (now or in the past) that have allowed individuals to grow it for their own personal use. This eliminates contaminants (like fentanyl or others) that people might lace it with.

However, what I remember seeing (at least in the US) is varying groups vying for legal control over production, giving those groups monopoly power. This is a big part of the problem.
