For 3 times the amount I'd commute 4 hours (includes travel to and travel from), though would prefer train to car.
Two hours each way will probably wear you down a lot.
I used to figure that "it's only an hour or so" but over the years that hour became a bigger and bigger psychological burden until eventually I decided it wasn't worth it, even though I was earning really rather silly money at the end of my long commute. The biggest issue for me was the days I needed to work late, knowing that if I got out of the office at 8 I wouldn't be getting home until 915, maybe later. Of course when trains get less frequent outside peak periods if I was in the office until 10 or gone (staying that late usually involved drinks with the team or with clients) it could easily take me an hour and a half to get home. Mixing a few drinks with being on the last train home carries its own risks, if you fall asleep and miss your stop. The few times I was on the last train home the conductor made frequent announcements that it was the last train, so basically anyone that missed their stop was going to be finishing their ride home in a taxi.
Sometimes these days I'll have a stupid early start so I can be somewhere 60 miles away by 7am. It's a bit of a shock to the system but they aren't very common so I can cope with them. The cat is usually a bit confused when he gets fed at 5am rather than his more normal 8am.
