When does your church do a collection of offerings? Does your church have a set up with the option to give online?

We take up the collection when the liturgy of the word is finished and the liturgy of the Eucharist is about to begin. After the collection the gifts are brought to the priest at the foot of the sanctuary along with the money collected. People can give automatically if they want to but I do not think that many do.

Reminds me of an old joke about this man that took his gradfathe rto church for the first time, as they are sitting there the grandfather asks can I smoke, the son says no, then he asks can I at least chew and to keep him quiet he says yes. Later they pass the offering plate and when it gets to the grandfather he says your to late son I already swallowed it:lol:
