I'm admittedly obsessive about cleanliness.... personally and in all things (clothes, car, house)....

While my wife and I weekly clean TOGETHER, she knows my obsession and pretty much just assists me. Of course, cleaning is pretty much constant with me. She puts something down - I get up and put it where it belongs. She well understood this obsession of mine before we got married. She's okay with it.... especially since I don't ask HER to clean (in fact, her weekly helping me is HER choice, and she knows to HELP me rather than take a primary role). The cars get washed weekly - inside and out; waxed and polished quarterly. I wash my own clothes, too. My wife loves to cook - and I leave her entirely to that, but I want to clean up afterword. She lets me. It works. I clean the grout in our tile floor on my knees with toothpaste and a toothbrush... it's clean.

We all have our little obsessions.... that's mine.

I like cleaning the kitchen and hate cleaning the toilet - here we have toilets in separate rooms away from other "bathroom" facilities - I think it is because toilets are for stinky things while baths and showers are for clean things.

... my wife tells me that if we have kids, they will either cure me or drive me NUTS; kids - she claims - are mess machines.

Oh that's one handy side effect from my filthiness. I don't mind cleaning up filthy stuff. I Always did the filthy diapers, dog poop on kids shoes, no problem, bunny mess, toilet, although, eeww, as long as it's from the kids. Wouldn't want to do it for a job.

That was the first thing I thought about. Ah maybe your kids will be just as clean as you.
Or not LOL.

For a year I couldn't work because of shoulder problems and I had no kids then. I got so bored that I even cleaned the windows.

:=D: We'd get along just fine. I don't mind a little mess, in fact, I kinda like a little messy. It's endearing. And I dont get squeamish over those other things, it's part of life. But I think we have a different meaning for the term filthy.
I don't like dirt in the sense of always feeling like you need a shower after being there. What you'rd describing doesn't sound like that.
I'm talking roach infested vermin type of filthy. No thanks. But I have a wooden plaque that says 'Bless This Mess', ..... it says alot.
Hey, Joseph and Mary had like 7 kids, right? And ran a carpenters shop. I bet it was probly kinda messy. :hug2:

Wow, brother, what I wouldn't give to have my little buddy back, I'd never complain about cleaning his box again. It got pretty bad in the end, and sometimes I got a bit grumpy about it, but hopefully not too much, but a moment of frustration here and there that really grieves me and I regret so much, but now that he's gone, I just miss him so much, I would consider it a joy to have to change his litter box. Just another thing in life I loved that I lost or was taken from me. It's kind of the story of my life, but it doesn't seem to get any easier.

I don't like roaches either, but we both like keeping mice. Just give Josiah a dust cap if he visits.
It'll be great. You like aardvarks. I am an aardvark.

I don't mind cleaning toilets because if I keep up with them it's not a chore. I hate cleaning the shower though. I also hate washing dishes.

My house remains relatively clean though now that I'm home all the time. I don't make the beds. Who does that anymore?

You don't have boys peeing on and over it.
Bath no problem. I just throw chloor in it.

I never wash dishes. Well thats not true. My dad bought me a dish washer but when I'm too lazy to use it I have to wash 3. Tough life.
