For some people the word "church" appears to be mainly about buildings and meetings - they say that Christianity is about a relationship not about a building when "church" is discussed - but for Catholic Christians the word "church" is about Jesus Christ. The Church is the body of Christ, not buildings or meetings or anything else, just the Lord Jesus Christ's body. So when Catholic Christians refer to the Church as their home and source of comfort and security they are saying "The Lord Jesus Christ - present in the world by means of his body (which is the Church) - is my home, my comfort, and my security". When you talk about "church" what is foremost in your thinking?

Women multi-task, even when thinking. So when I think of a certain word, not just one meaning pops up :)

"Jesus" is generally reserved for the Lord Jesus Christ rather than for the church.

Church & Christ are interchangeable in most contexts where church is not thought of as a building, but as I said, some folk - usually non-catholic folk - think of buildings and they tell Catholics off for referencing the church in relation to faith and graces.

I disagree with everything you said.

And the CONFUSION of church with "me" that is foundational to the RC Denomination's egotistical power grab is a major reason why I left that denomination.

I see it the same. Church is the Body of believers. We don't even have a church building. I also use the word for a building though, but to not get mistakes we specifically say church building lol.
