National flags in the nave (or on display elsewhere within the church building) are not common in church buildings in Australia.

Some churches here have flags from a lot of nations and Israel, to pray they get saved.

I particularly don't like having the flag of our country in the sanctuary. Keep the world out I say :)

Back home a friend of mine used to call those who only went to Christmas and Easter services as Chreasters. I used to attend every holiday when I lived 4 minutes away from the church but now it's hard to attend services that I really want to go to. Bad weather can really put a damper on plans.
