Honestly, it's pathetic.

If you believe God will bless a same-sex union then let them go ahead and get married in your church. If you believe God will not bless a same-sex union don't pretend by hosting a blessing that means nothing.

Thoughts about this compromise measure?
Like a lot of compromises that are made in church conventions, it probably won't be successful; but it might temporarily get the issue off of the agenda.
