Do you prefer a real or artificial Christmas tree and why?

When do you put your tree up?

I'm severely allergic to pine, so we have to have an artificial tree. We tried to have a real one when we first got married and we woke up with swollen eyes and it was awful.

I usually put the tree up the first week in December, but this year I put it up when we got home from our Thanksgiving trip. I needed to see the decorations.

My wife has a small artificial one that she likes. I like a real tree but don't like needles everywhere, and we want to avoid having stuff falling on the floor that might harm the cat. So an artifical pre-lit tree it is. She usually puts it up right after Thanksgiving.

We have a small artificial one. Mainly due to allergies as well as reduce the cat interest in a tree. LOL

We usually put it about a week before Christmas.

Just did. Normally way later, a week before Christmas or so. A real one. Actually I thought no Christmas tree anymore this year, but son wanted one.
