I agree... People put themselves in hell. But only God can put them in heaven.


It's called the "Doctrine of Election" and was affirmed/proclaimed by one of the Ecumenical Councils that most Christians claim they affirm (the Council of Orange) and was affirmed by Lutheranism and Anglicanism. Calvin's follower replaced it with the Greek philosophy of Fate and made God the reason people go to Hell and Arminius did the opposite, making self the reason they go to Heaven. The Bible makes self the reason for hell and Jesus the reason for heaven. And I agree with that.
