Chemo when it wasn't needed! Disgusting!

So this doctor told patients they had cancer when they didn't and had them go through chemo treatments unnecessarily! How revolting that a person could do this to someone just for money.

The other thing is, oncologists in general, have a habit of over treating cancer patients with both chemo and radiation, even when there is little to no hope that it will help and the patient suffers from the side effects of the treatment, instead of going on hospice and being treated in a way that will reduce pain and keep them comfortable.

I didn't know that the oncologists over treat. I've seen family and friends suffer from treatments and it's awful. The medical industry is a big money maker and that isn't always for the benefit of the patients.

Oncologists don't like to give up their patients, until it is obvious they only have a very short time to live. Yes, there is a lot of money to be made by prolonging radiation and chemo treatments, as long as possible.

I agree my father's oncologist and other doctors were great people. They told us nearly six months before he passed ( earlier than expected) that there was nothing they could do about the cancer about five months later he was placed on Hospice and then ( earlier than we expected than the doctors or hospice team expected he died 12 days later.

amen sister. I cannot STAND when people abuse cancer. Either this or a "patient" claiming they have it when they do not. It is NO joke.
