Which do you prefer a canoe or a kayak?

I've been on both and prefer the kayak because I like doing things on my own. The canoe was way too awkard.

Kayak all the way. I find them more stable and easier to maneuver alone. I use a tandem frequently with my wife or son. We have both a tandem and solo inflatable kayaks that we use around here.
