There's lots of scriptures about the still small voice of God.
1 Kings 19:11-12, Isaiah 30:20-21, John 14:26, Jeremiah 7:23 I've heard a few Pastors preach on it also. We have to develop the sensitivity of the awareness of the presence of God and His voice within us and that is not always easy to do.

Can you hear the small voice of God within you?

I have heard it many times and it is unmistakable. With me, it started with learning that, Prayer isn't a monologue, it is a Dialogue. So instead of, Lord, I need this this and this and bless my kids and my family, Amen., it's more like Lord? Pause and listen! I have needs of this or that, will you help me with it? Pause and listen! Give Him a chance to answer! I couldn't hear His voice, sometimes my brain sayid something and that aint right, couldn't be! So after awhile of doing that and tryig, I got the bright idea to, don't say Amen after my morning prayer and then get up and go to work and walk away from Him for the day! Bad idea! So I started inviting the Lord to go to work with me, and I would talk to him all day in the truck while driving to the different addresses of customers. When I got to the Customers house, I went in alone (?) and left Jesus in the truck? Never gave it a 2nd thought, I had to be professional and all worldly for the customer. Until I had trouble one day with a unit and was baffled, I got the urge to pray to the Lord for help, then I realized, I left Him in the truck! (ouch). I invited Him and He helped me solve my problem...and I never left Him in the truck again!

So I'm driving down the road with my Friend who sticks closer than a Brother talking to Him, and I seen that some guy in a car next to me saw me talking and looked at me like I was a nut, lol. And I got embarrassed some for "talking to myself", and that was when the Lord said, you have to become as a little child...was that me or the Lord? What do children do? They play! So I made it a game and when kids play games, the rules are the rules and true, the floor is Lava! So what I did was when I spoke to the Lord, I would pause and listen and I always took the first thing that came into my head and that was God speaking to me, my answer from Him.
Now, sometimes it was a scripture, and sometimes it was like a "thought" and sometimes it sounded like my Conscience! But does what was said contradict scripture in any way? Hmm, it does not. and this game went on for 2 weeks? and it seemed like I was getting real answers from the Lord! I was hearing His still small voice! Fairly soon right after that I noticed that, this voice within me that sounds like my own thoughts...doesn't speak or think the way I do! I could discern the difference just by paying attention! He has a different vocabulary and way of speaking that is His own. Actually He speaks in real life to me very much like how He talks in scripture.

I also learned over time that it isn't as easy to hear Him now as it it was before and I know why. I slacked on how much I was reading scripture and I have been watching more secular entertainment than I used to. So the more world I intake interferes with my ability to hear the still small voice of God.

Do you think I'm nuts? Can you hear the still small voice of Good?

When God speaks to me, it's usually not still and small. Most often the opposite.

If I'm being honest I am not fond of inviting the Lord to the grocery store with me. Every time I ask Him if I should buy this or that he says no, lol.

Nobody did the poll or even responded. I guess no one here can hear the Lord. That's sad to me.

Sometimes He sounds just like my Conscience, lol. And why not? Because the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit and speaks directly to him and our conscience is a function of our spirit so our conscience always knows everything that our spirit knows.

JESUS promised, saying :->Revelation 22:17->The Spirit (GOD is Spirit) and the bride say, Come. And let him that HEARETH say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Amen. Alleluia! Praise GOD). -> NOTE the great difference of scenario if we compared with Genesis 3:22-24 combined with John 14:6.

JESUS said, and still says, to you, and me, and for all His people around the world:-> He that believeth on me, as the Scripture(the Word of GOD) hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water-John 7:39.

Hope you have a good Sunday, and a very happy this week in our Lord JESUS Christ, His promises for us are wonderful and eternal- Ephesians 1:3-23, Praise GOD.

The Word is GOD-John 1:1, GOD is Life, If we keep His Word in our heart, then GOD is in our heart, and we have Life as JESUS said:->John 5:39-40->39-> Search the Scriptures(Word of GOD); for in them ye think ye have Eternal Life-> Great Mystery-> take a look 1 Corinthians 15:26 and 51-55-Great Mystery - , and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life?(Who doesn't want it?)->Matthew 25:29-> For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance...Alleluia! Praise GOD. -> JESUS said, and still says, to you, and me, and for all His people around the world:-> He that believeth on me, as the Scripture(the Word of GOD) hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water-John 7:39.

Praise our GOD, all ye His servants, and ye that fear GOD, both small and great. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give Honour to Him.

Philippians 3:20-21:-> 20 For our conversation is in heaven(Ephesians 1:3-32); from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord JESUS Christ:
21 Who shall CHANGE our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body(1Corinthians 15:51-58, take a look), according to the working whereby He is ABLE even to subdue all things unto Himself->as He said in Matthew 28:18, take a look. ->this is not a magic, but a powerful and spiritual process.

Revelation 11:15-18 combined with Matthew 5:5 and Revelation 5:10

15 ... The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before GOD on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped GOD,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord GOD Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy Great Power, and hast reigned.

18 And the NATIONS were(WILL BE) angry, and thy WRATH is come(AS FIRE), and the time of the dead(RESURRECTION-Isaiah 26:19 & Daniel 12:1-3), that they should be Judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great(Isaiah 26:20-21); and shouldest DESTROY(Luke 17:28-30, take a look) them which destroy the earth.

May our Lord GOD bless and keep us, and give us His protection
Amen.

Around 6000 years ago our Lord GOD in His wrath punished the MAN by sent him forth from the garden of Eden, as He revealed to Moses after around 2500 years after Adam, or 1500 years BC, as is written in Genesis 3:22-24:
22 And the Lord GOD said, Behold, the MAN is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the TREE OF LIFE (the invisible GOD is the Life-John 1:18), and eat, AND LIVE FOR EVER:
23 Therefore the Lord GOD sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground FROM WHENCE (out from the environment of the Garden) the MAN was taken.

24 So GOD drove out the MAN; and GOD placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming Sword (Word of fire) which turned every way, to keep the way OF THE TREE OF LIFE.-> The own GOD, the Word is GOD, GOD Himself, the Life, Father of our Lord JESUS Christ, Self-executing, Self-executable. ->-> (the MAN was taken from a place out of the Garden, and made as GOD said: Genesis 1:26 -> And GOD said, Let us make MAN in our image, after our likeness:...) ->By the way, this will happen again from now on, takind us out from this satanic world of Devil (John 1:12-14) establishing the 3rd heaven-Daniel 2:44-45 and 12:1-3 combined with Ephesians 1:3-23 and Matthew 25:29 and 34 and Revelation 12:10-12, take a look),

And around 4000 years after Adam, or around 2000 years ago, our Lord GOD sent JESUS to make the reconciliation with MAN He had created (John 5:17 and 43); -> Paul Apostle revealed: 2Corinthians 5:18-19: ->18 All things are of GOD, who hath reconciled us to Himself by JESUS Christ, and hath given TO US the MINISTRY of reconciliation; 19 -To wit, that GOD was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not IMPUTING their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of Reconciliation.

Revelation 11:15-18 combined with Matthew 5:5 and Revelation 5:10

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord GOD Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the NATIONS were (WILL BE)angry, and thy WRATH is come (again, after around 6000 years), and the time of the dead, that they should be judged(Daniel 12:2 combined with Isaiah 26:19-21), and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should DESTROY them which destroy the earth.

Revelation 19:8-9:
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of GOD.

8 And to her (to the Church, to the GOD's people, sons of GOD by adoption) was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Alleluia! Praise GOD. Amen.

Here's a prophesy from Exodus 16:

4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day

and:
John 6:58
This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Each and every day, manna, fresh from the Lord, available to you.

When you read John 1:1:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

and also Revelation 19:

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

You can see, reading the Word, it goes in you, and becomes part of you. You receive understanding of the Word and build your relationship with the Lord! It's spiritual nourishment like referred to in John 4:

31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

As an author, I ask God every day which direction my writing should go that day. He then pops ideas into my creativity to guide my writing. I don't hear his audible words except in the Bible as I read it.

Good and wonderful post.

The Word is GOD-John 1:1; the EXPRESS IMAGE of His Person, this we can see in JESUS(Hebrews 1:3 combined with Matthew 11:27), the Word is GOD, GOD Himself, the Truth, the Life, the invisible Spirit-John 1:18, Self-executing, Self-executable-Psalms 33:9.,

GOD BLESS

What you say is truth, except for the word "it." The Word is eternal with the Father and the Spirit as the ONE God. HE is the Person who became Jesus as he added human nature in Mary's womb.
