When I was a kid I could do simple things like boil hot dogs, white rice or make a salad. Although we were a US family and still bought a lot of processed stuff (microwave pizzas and the like).
As an adult I cooked sometimes: rice, noodles, meat etc.
When I went Vegan I cook (or prepare without cooking) nearly all my meals. Although it's often simple stuff that I enjoy and fairly easy to make.
