I couldn't believe the headlines on some media sites and from some friends on Facebook who blame Trump for the downed Ukranian plane.

I firmly believe that I am not responsible for someone else's actions. You are not responsible for someone else's actions. Trump is not responsible for someone else's actions.

Taylor Swift and some other singer have songs out that say Look What You Made Me Do to place blame for what their actions are upon another person. Is that society's way of thinking now? We are responsible for our own actions. Consequences might happen but to blame the President for a downed plane that was caused by someone else is not rational thinking.

It's like blaming Andrew who gave a member a staff action and then the member decides to go crazy and flood the forum with profanity. Andrew isn't to blame. The person doing the action is.

EVERYTHING bad is Trumps fault. Don't you listen to the news? Don't you pay attention to the liberals and other smart/holy/caring people?

I thought that too. The wildfires in Australia are his fault, rising sea levels are his fault everything is his fault. Only this morning I managed to spill my coffee, and that was Trump's fault too. I'm not sure how he made me do it but he obviously did somehow.

I had no idea who the general was before this week. I'm searching now about him trying to find old news and I'm reading that he was leading an intifada (the news article is dated 2016) which is a Palestinian uprising against Israel.

Here is another article about how awful this guy was and it's from 2013!:

Suleimani took command of the Quds Force fifteen years ago, and in that time he has sought to reshape the Middle East in Iran’s favor, working as a power broker and as a military force: assassinating rivals, arming allies, and, for most of a decade, directing a network of militant groups that killed hundreds of Americans in Iraq. The U.S. Department of the Treasury has sanctioned Suleimani for his role in supporting the Assad regime, and for abetting terrorism. And yet he has remained mostly invisible to the outside world, even as he runs agents and directs operations. “Suleimani is the single most powerful operative in the Middle East today,” John Maguire, a former C.I.A. officer in Iraq, told me, “and no one’s ever heard of him.”

This tragedy would likely not have occurred had the Iranian general not been assassinated so there is a sort of indirect responsibility but the primary fault lies in Iran.

I wouldn't even call it an indirect responsibility. It was still the choice of Iran to do what they did. They are responsible for their own actions.

No, there is no responsibility there on his part, either direct or indirect.

You might as well argue that the mother of the man who pushed the button to launch the missile was responsible since, if she had never conceived, the shooter would never have been available to down the plane. Or else the responsibility lies with the Wright Brothers...or the person or persons who invented the technology of surface to air missiles.

Ultimately we can blame it all on God. If he hadn't created us in the first place none of this would have happened.

Yes. I almost included that in my post, too. As a matter of fact, there probably are a hundred different people who could be blamed if we took that same approach to "blame."

How come this thing as Trump have to do nothing with the incident. I heard this news on Twitter, but they mentioned the plane has some problems so it got damaged and the passengers died.
Did anyone heard why the crash had occured, any strangers attacked or what?

Yesterday I saw that Iran confessed to accidentally shooting down the plane because they thought the US was coming to get them and return fire.
