President Joe Biden said Thursday the U.S. would immediately begin turning away Cubans, Haitians and Nicaraguans who cross the border from Mexico illegally, his boldest move yet to confront the arrivals of migrants that have spiraled since he took office two years ago.

He's two years too late!!!!

He waited way too long because he hated Trump's policies and didn't want anything to do with what Republicans were telling him about the border. And now the Democrats in Texas are complaining as well and NOW he shows up and says Oh My.

I hate politics.

I think that that report is just about what we might expect from yahoo! news.

In reality, there's no strengthening of the border, and Biden didn't really visit the border except in the sense of him having had a few photo ops in a selected part of the border near a city that had all of its homeless immigrants relocated in advance of the event.

The (Republican) Congressman who represents that district wasn't invited to meet with the President, and the governor of the State of Texas had to take himself to the airport, surprising Biden, in order to have a few words with him.

The main purpose of the trip appears to have been to make it a backdrop to his impending announcement that he, Biden, will seek reelection in 2024. That would be the intention because the open southern border is one of the top concerns of the American people. But that fact doesn't mean that the occupant of the White House will actually do anything significant about the border.
