I am the same age as the President and I too have balance issues. However this in no way a certain indicator of beginning dementia. As for his speaking voice we know that he suffered from a stutter but has largely overcome that handicap through speech training. One aspect of that training is that when the person feels a stutter coming on s/he chooses a different word. I have watched his recent speeches carefully and that is exactly what he is doing. There is a short pause, sometimes almost too short to notice, where he appears focused and then continues on. King George VI had precisely the same problem and overcame it in the same way. I have full confidence in President Biden. I never had any confidence in his predecessor who was a walking, talking disaster whose only speech impediment was vocabulary and grammar and education.
