The majority of Bible versions translate the above verse as "are being saved", instead of "are saved". The translation of this verse affects the security of our salvation. If we are being saved, that is saying our salvation is an unfinished process, and not a present possession. We are saved by the redemption of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are justified freely, as a gift of God (Romans 3:21-26 Romans 5:15 Romans 6:23).

Not necessarily. Every time I've read that passage, I've thought that it means that different people are counted among the saved at different times. If Mr. A comes to the Lord and is saved today, but Mr. B is converted next week, and so on, that means that different people "are being saved" over the course of time but not that they aren't saved when they have a conversion experience.

At the same time, I do agree that which translation one uses can affect his beliefs, so to rely upon a junk version (of which kind there are many) rather than upon the most respected translations can be dangerous.
