I make a turkey sandwich that feeds a few people and goes into the oven for an hour to be baked. I use a large Italian bread loaf, cut off the top third, scoop out the insides of the bread and freeze that later for something else. I spread Italian dressing on the inside as well as the cut side of the top. Then I start to layer: shredded mozzarella, sliced turkey, sliced red onion, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers and then more mozzarella. Shove the top back on and completely cover the sandwich in foil. Bake in a 350 oven for at least an hour. Sometimes the cheese doesn't all melt. The bread gets REALLY hard though. I used to use a round corona bread but can't find it in the stores anymore.
