What are your thoughts on being a loner and not having any friends or close relationships?

What are your thoughts on being a loner and not having any friends of close relationships.

I think it’s sad to have no friends of close relationships but often I prefer staying in to read, watch movies or play on my iPad over going out with friends. We go out as a couple with friends maybe once a month or every couple months. That’s enough for me.
I call / text people or vice versa daily though or meet for lunch.

I go shopping once a month. I may go to the corner store another time or 2. I have bilateral sciatica and it is painful to walk. I have an anoxic brain injury and my head hurts all the time. I have Lupus, arthritis, and Hepatitis C. My health has made me a loner. I used to have a life. I used to have a wife and kids. I used to have a ministry. My health made me lose everything.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

I missed the second half of their childhood, but I'm involved with them now.
