While I had my cold and my sinuses were all congested I had some headaches and discovered that the most effective treatment for me was taking two aspirin rather than taking two Panadol (Panadol is the brand name in Australia for the same drug that USA folk have in Tylenol ... sorry not Advil which appears to be Ibuprofen based).

Do you think aspirin is more effective?

I find that of the OTC pain relievers, ibuprofen (found in Motrin and Advil) is the most effective for me. Acetaminophen and aspirin will also work for me, but not quite as well. :D

I'm allergic to aspirin and have to be careful with ibuprofen as well. I normally use non-aspirin. With sinus problems though I just use decongestants and I have a cold face pak I can put over my face if the pressure gets too bad.
