The Lord spoke to Ahaz and said, ‘Ask the Lord your God for a sign for yourself coming either from the depths of Sheol or from the heights above.’ ‘No,’ Ahaz answered ‘I will not put the Lord to the test.’
Then he said:
Listen now, House of David:
are you not satisfied with trying the patience of men
without trying the patience of my God, too?
The Lord himself, therefore,
will give you a sign.
It is this: the maiden is with child
and will soon give birth to a son
whom she will call Immanuel,
a name which means ‘God is with us.’

Is there a lesson here?

The ultimate fulfillment of that prophesy was the incarnation, born of the virgin Mary, a son of duel nature, God and man, Emmanuel: God with us for the salvation of mankind. He's the Shoot of Jehovah and the fruit of the earth.

Isaiah 4:2
In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

God with us

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

As Immanuel He is inclusive of all of the Godhead

First as our savior

Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

then our Redeemer

John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

our Life-giver

1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

and then the indwelling Spirit

John 14:16-20
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Romans 8:9-11
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwell in you.

The New Jerusalem is the sum total of Emmanuel, the totality of God being with us. Emmanuel is the sum total of the Godhead's work in human relations.

I presented the lesson with scripture that Immanuel is all-inclusive of the Godhead's dealing with mankind. Is that the only lesson to be found there?

There may be a lesson about tempting God and perhaps another about trying the patience of God.

That is a sign from both. He came first from heaven above and then from the depths of Sheol.
