I'm certainly not part of any cult; I freely want to follow Jesus.

A non standard use of the world 'cult' seems to be in play here, perhaps defining it for the purpose of this discussion would be in order to provide a common understanding of what is being discussed?

According to my understanding, a cult is a group of people who follow a leader whose word is the law of the group. If they want to leave, they will be persecuted, and the doctrines of the leader, usually a dynamic person, are the law, not really the Bible.

Sounds more like the Military then. I can see that. The US Military Cult!

Jesus never identified as a cult so He isnt. He is God. Which is better!

I did lie to some people during covid and when they asked, have you been vaccinated? I said yes because I was thinking, the Jesus Vaccine where every day of covid lockdown I prayed Psalm 91 over my life and property. And what happened was, covid did not come nigh my dwelling. So it really wasnt a lie. I merely used an analogy without explanation, lol.

I had all the shots for COVID, and God protected me too. He uses medical means sometimes and nothing but prayer other times, I think, @Edward429451.

One time I thought about praying for help to the Lord. I was out of coffee and no money in my slow season. Then I thought about how scripture says He knows our needs before we ask, and don't worry about what you will eat or drink tomorrow. So i thought, ok, so I dont have to pray for that, God knows. And I forgot about it. About 20 minutes later, a 2 LB bag of coffee is knocking on my door. Hi Ed, I brought you a gift, have some coffee! He didn't know I was out of coffee!

So the Lord answered a prayer for me that i never prayed. Very fast. Why would He do something like that? And it hit me. I was acting out in Faith by standing on what His word says, so I was in faith and He delivered me some good coffee! I didn't even realize that at the time. I just believed it so I did not pray for help with coffee or money because of what His word says.

That's one of the coolest things the Lord has ever done for me. He's done bigger things for me, but not this cool! within 30 minutes of not praying I had the coffee!.

That is an answer to your prayer-thoughts, it seems to me, @Edward429451! If you are interested in many more answers to prayer in my life, see the book What God Has Done: My True, Dramatic God-Biography [Amazon].)

Members of my family were, and still are, proud members of the U.S. military. One of my grandfathers was in WWII, another served in Korea as a front-line medic. My brother is retired Navy, I have a niece and nephew in the Navy and another nephew in the Marines.
I'm prooud of each and every one of them.

Yeah Brother, I'm sorry. I've always been a jokester and so I try to see the light side of things. You'll never hear me complaining, lol.
